Rules for customers, Mobix PROs, and anyone using the Mobix platform.

Agreement to these Terms

By using Mobix, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mobix website, customer account, PRO portal, and related services (the "Service") operated by Mobix ("Mobix," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account, submitting a service request, paying fees, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

What Mobix is (and is not)

Mobix is a platform — not a repair shop.

Mobix is an on-demand auto services platform that connects customers with independent mobile mechanics in the Mobix PRO network. Mobix coordinates dispatch, communications, quotes, and payments, but Mobix does not perform repairs itself and is not a motor vehicle repair facility.

Mobix PROs are independent service providers, not employees of Mobix. Mobix does not guarantee that every vehicle issue can be repaired on-site; some jobs require shop equipment or facilities.

Service availability varies by location, mechanic coverage, and demand. Same-day or ASAP service is not guaranteed.

Accounts and security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • Provide accurate, current information when registering or submitting a service request.
  • Notify us promptly of unauthorized use of your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

Service requests and quotes

You approve repair work before it begins.

  • When you submit a request, you provide vehicle, location, and issue information so Mobix can dispatch a Mobix PRO.
  • After you pay the PRO Connect fee (see below), dispatch reviews your request and assigns a Mobix PRO when coverage allows.
  • Your Mobix PRO inspects the vehicle on-site and provides an itemized quote. Repair work begins only after you approve the quote and pay the approved repair total (unless otherwise agreed in writing).
  • If additional work is discovered on-site, you will receive an updated quote to approve before work continues.
  • You must provide a safe, legally accessible location for service. You are responsible for ensuring the mechanic can reach your vehicle.

PRO Connect fee

$39 platform fee — non-refundable, separate from repair.

Before dispatch proceeds on most requests, you must pay a one-time PRO Connect fee of $39 USD ("PRO Connect fee" or "Connect fee").

The PRO Connect fee is a non-refundable platform fee for Mobix dispatch, vetting, and coordination. It is not a deposit toward your repair and is not applied to the repair total.

Except where required by law, the PRO Connect fee is not refundable once paid, including if you cancel the request, decline a quote, or a job cannot be completed on-site.

Repair payments and billing

You pay the approved quote total for repair work.

  • The repair total is the amount shown in the quote you approved, including labor, parts, and disclosed fees.
  • Payments are processed through third-party payment providers. By paying, you authorize us and our payment partners to charge your selected payment method.
  • Failed payments may delay or cancel service. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
  • Applicable sales or use taxes may be added where required by law.

Acceptable use

Use Mobix lawfully and respectfully.

  • Do not use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes.
  • Do not interfere with the Service, attempt unauthorized access, scrape data, or reverse engineer our systems.
  • Do not submit false requests, harass Mobix PROs or staff, or misrepresent your vehicle or location.
  • Do not use the Service to compete with Mobix or solicit Mobix PROs outside the platform in violation of PRO agreements.

Photos, videos, and other content

If you upload photos, videos, or other content with a service request, you grant Mobix a limited license to use, store, and share that content with dispatch and assigned Mobix PROs solely to evaluate and complete your job.

You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not violate third-party rights or law.

Mobix PRO participants

Separate onboarding applies to mechanics in the PRO network.

Mechanics who join the Mobix PRO network must complete our application and onboarding process and comply with additional PRO policies. Mobix may remove PROs from the network for policy violations, safety concerns, or quality issues.

Additional terms apply to Mobix PRO participants and are provided during onboarding.

Intellectual property

Mobix and its licensors own the Service, including software, branding, logos, and content (excluding your submitted content). We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.

You may not use Mobix trademarks without our prior written permission.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is."

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Mobix does not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, exact arrival times, or that any repair will resolve your vehicle issue. Diagnostic and repair outcomes depend on the vehicle, conditions on-site, and the Mobix PRO's professional judgment.

Some states limit how implied warranties may be excluded or modified. To the extent those limits apply, the above exclusions apply only to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of liability

Our liability is limited to fees you paid to Mobix.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MOBIX AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR ANY SERVICE REQUEST, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MOBIX'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO MOBIX FOR THE SPECIFIC REQUEST GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Mobix is a platform connecting customers with independent Mobix PROs. Except where prohibited by law, Mobix is not responsible for the acts or omissions of Mobix PROs.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mobix and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your service request, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Termination

  • You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request account deletion through My account or by contacting us.
  • We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, legal requirements, or operational reasons, with or without notice where permitted.
  • Upon termination, provisions that by their nature should survive will survive (including payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification).

Governing law and disputes

Colorado law applies; disputes resolved in Colorado courts unless law requires otherwise.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where prohibited by applicable consumer protection law in your state of residence.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, unless applicable law requires a different forum. You and Mobix consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Changes to these Terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice by email or prominent notice on the Service where required. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance, unless applicable law requires a different process.

Miscellaneous

  • These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any order-specific terms, form the entire agreement between you and Mobix regarding the Service.
  • If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • We may assign these Terms; you may not assign without our consent.
